Our breeding philosophy is straightforward: we breed the type of horses we want in our own competition stable.
Athletic ability matters. Pedigree matters. Correct conformation matters.
But above all, the horse must be trainable.
Our breeding selections prioritize:
Performance • Rideability • Temperament • Athleticism • Soundness • Type
By combining carefully selected mares with our competition-proven stallions, our goal is to produce modern Iberian sport horses capable of progressing through dressage while remaining enjoyable, confident partners.
WHY CAE STARTED BREEDING
After years of sourcing Iberian horses throughout Europe and Mexico for American clients, we found that truly exceptional young horses—correctly started, sound, well-bred and possessing outstanding temperaments—were increasingly difficult to find.
Rather than compromise, we began breeding them ourselves.
Our program is a collaboration with Amina's mother, founder of Point Breeze Farm and one of the pioneering breeders and developers of the Spanish-Norman horse in the United States.
Together, we thoughtfully breed a select group of just three to four mares each year, carefully pairing each mare with the stallion best suited to complement her qualities and produce outstanding sport horse prospects.

CAE youngsters can remain within our development program through handling, starting under saddle and advanced dressage training, giving breeders and buyers access to a complete pathway from pedigree selection to the competition arena.

Guest Stallion Development & Promotion
CAE Dressage also welcomes a select number of guest stallions each season. Acceptance is based on quality, suitability, and stall availability, allowing us to maintain the highest standards for every horse in our program.
Our comprehensive stallion development program is designed to maximize both athletic performance and breeding success through professional management, training, and promotion.
